500 Rebel — Affordable family boating fun.
The Fyran 500 Rebel has been specifically designed as a versatile fishing boat that requires small engine horsepower. The hull is a very low drag hull with a wide buoyant stern to allow 50 or up to 60 horsepower to push the boat easily onto the plane from rest, and cruise at very efficient fuel saving speeds. This means the keen fisherman spends less money on fuel than on bait!! On the test boat our fuel consumption was 6L per hour at cruise, and we got a 90 mile range out of 1 tote tank! For a boat of only 5 metres it still has a substantial cockpit and is an extremely stable platform for up to 4 stand up fisherman.
The cockpit working area behind the seats is a massive 2.8m2. This is over 50% bigger than some competitors 5m boats.
The extra long front hatch and step hown cuddy floor allows easy access to the anchor and bow. The large aft cockpit shelf is perfect for tackle boxes and underneath the shelf, 2 tote tanks and several dive bottles will all fit easily.
Like other Fyran boats the 500 Rebel complies with the exacting CPC Boat Building Standards including underfloor foam flotation or sealed air buoyancy, and is CPC rated: UNSINKABLE.
